I knew Bill many years ago when I was in school - my older brother was one of his best friends at one time. I remember him stopping at our house one morning in dead of winter to call the school that he would be late - he had been checking his traps and forgot the time. He was quite icy! A good person - my condolemces.

The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport, the family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home in the early 1900's.
