Gertrude I. Ecker, 94, formerly of Cross St. in Ilion, passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2012 at Folt’s Home in Herkimer.
Gert was born on September 30, 1917 in Ilion; she was the daughter of the late LaVerne and Myrtle (Jones) Smith. She was educated in Ilion and on August 5, 1943 she married Ralph C. Ecker, he passed away on June 2, 1999.
Gert is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is pre deceased by her husband Ralph and her sister and brother in law Betty and Joseph Johnson.
In keeping with Gert’s wishes there are no calling hours and funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. On line condolences may be sent by going to www.whiter-hendrix.com.
