Visitation at Funeral Home
Dear Prudy and family,
We were both heartbroken for all of you over Ted's injuries and his eventual passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers, and have our deepest condolences.
Ted was so much more than just a Barber. He was a fellow Navy Vet to me and a dear and long-time friend, not just to me, but to many, many other customers and fellow friends and acquaintance's.
Soft spoken, yet witty and always very easy to have a conversation with. He always asked about the family, and treated each customer as a special person. Very meticulous at his task, he was one of the very few barbers that still shaved the back of your neck and around the ears. 'Boy' are we gonna miss him ! God Bless !
The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport our family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home, in the early 1900's.
