Just hearing about this very depressing news.
Even though her gruff exterior would intimidate me on occasion as a teen, I grew to know Kathy as one of the sweetest ladies that I have ever had the privilege of being around.
To know that I will never hear Kathy jokingly (maybe) call me filthy Irish trash again... with that twinkle in her eye...hurts me greatly.
I'm sure she would probably roll her eyes upon hearing this, but like many of the neighborhood hooligans, I considered Kathy to be my "mum" as well.
I have always considered Paul and Richie to be my unofficial brothers...
I'll never forget the one time (of many) I lived with Paul, and Kathy hilariously thought we were lovers.
I really hate to use the word "was" when describing Kathy; it's so official.
but Kathy was a one of a kind lady.
I am very heartbroken and sorry for everyone's loss.
R.I.P.

A butterfly for all of mum's grandkids. I hope you can't help but smile everytime you see one and remember how much she loves you.

Remembering all the good times and feeling blessed that I was able to create so many good lasting memories with you. I know that you shall continue to watch over and guide your children and grandchildren on their journeys through life. Until we all meet again, dance freely among the clouds my friend.
My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Rick Sr., Vickie, Paul, Richie, Jessica, all the Grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
