Binghamton, NY - Thomas L. Hart, Sr., of Binghamton, NY, passed away on December 19, 2021 after an extended illness.
He graduated from Windsor High School and earned an Associates degree in Accounting from Elmira Business Institute. He was employed by several local companies as a mechanical operator. Tom was passionate about his collections and loved spending time at local flea markets.
He is predeceased by his father, William L. Hart, Sr., his sister, Barbara (Hart) Furman, and his uncle, Ernest Bruce Haskins. He is survived by his mother, Melva (Haskins) Hart, his children, Kara (Samuel) Dick, Destiny Hart, Thomas (Justina) Nieves-Hart, Jr., Melvin Hart/Kevin Aebischer, Melva Hart/Eva Aebischer, and Michael Mitchell; his grandchildren, Aiden and Aayla Dick, Alaysia Mulkerin, Emily Mitchell and Leon Nieves-Hart; his sister, Katherine (Roger) Forehand; brothers Richard Hart and William Hart, as well as many cousins.
The family will hold a private memorial and celebration of life on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
